The first edaForum will take place in Hannover, Germany on December 5th and 6th 2002. Organized by the edacentrum as part of its mission to overcome the design gap by collaborative actions among system and semiconductor companies, EDA vendors and research institutes, the edaForum02 will bring together decision makers from industry and top-rated speakers from all over the world.
Exhaustive R&D around Design Automation has been supported by MEDEA+, its predecessor MEDEA and Public Authorities for quite a considerable time. Latest results and achievements gained in MEDEA+ projects will be presented. In addition there will be some sessions around EDA-Roadmap, design methods for integrated analogue mixed signal systems, platforms and distributed design, signal integrity as well as embedded software. Workshop devoted to international information exchange on current EUV activities, with a focus on activities in Europe. Results were given achieved in the French project PREUVE and the IST project EUCLIDES. Presentations of ongoing projects in the MEDEA+ programme, structured along the main R&D activities of EUV Lithography: EUV Source, Exposure Tool and Optics, and Mask Fabrication.
130 participants attended, thereof 65 from France, 28 from Germany, 18 from other European countries as well as 17 from the US and Japan. It was recommended to organize such kind of workshop once a year alternating to the EUV Symposium and moving from region to region.
16th Annual Industry Strategy Symposium. This year´s ISS in Japan will focus on business strategy for global network. Speakers from Toshiba, THine Electronics, Intel, Samsung Electronics, TSMC and MEDEA+ will present their views on how their companies keep up with the new wave and what strategies they are using? Very well perceived workshop around integration of complete systems on single chips (SoCs), organized by the Spanish partners of the consortium, held within the premises of the University Madrid. Representatives of all partner companies but also from Public Authorities of Spain and Germany were attending. It can be expected that the Spanish Authorities will continue and intensify supporting MEDEA+ projects.
